Ben Tre Province lies in the lowest part of the Mekong River Delta, some 85 km (52.7 miles) south of HCM City and is situated on a plain of 1.25 meter average height and a 65 km coast.It borders Tien Giang Province to the north, Vinh Long Province to the west and the East Sea to the east.
The tomb of the famous patriotic poet, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, is at the An Duc commune, Ba Tri district. Arriving at Con Phung, you will visit ancient buildings with unique architecture. There is also a handicraft village producing furniture with materials taken from the coconut tree, and families raising bees for honey from the longan flower. In Bac Lieu, there are many fruit orchards. The most famous one is Cai Mon Fruit Tree Garden which is located on the bank of the Tien River in the village of Tien Thuy in the Chau Thanh District and is considered the cradle of fruit trees in South Vietnam, with fruit ready for visitors in any season.
